Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of the GridTree website and desktop application, including subscriptions, licensing, and governing law.

Last updated Jun 10, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using GridTree. By accessing or using our website at gridtree.app, creating an account, or downloading and using the GridTree desktop application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use GridTree.

1. Parties

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you (an individual or the legal entity you represent) and Flybring IT AB (org.nr. 559400-4318), a company incorporated under the laws of Sweden ("Flybring IT", "we", "our", or "us"). Our contact address is legal@gridtree.app.

2. Description of Service

GridTree is a desktop application and web platform ("Service") that provides a terminal and workspace management environment. The Service is designed primarily for professional software developers and teams, but is available to private individuals as well. It allows you to run and manage multiple isolated terminal sessions in parallel, each with its own git worktree and task context. You can use GridTree to run any command-line tools, scripts, or programs of your choosing — including but not limited to development tools, cloud CLIs, and AI assistants.

The Service consists of:

Free and paid tiers. The desktop application is available free of charge as a Community Edition with core functionality. A paid subscription unlocks additional features, as described at gridtree.app/pricing. These Terms apply to both the free and paid tiers; sections relating to subscriptions and payment apply only to paid subscribers.

System requirements. The GridTree desktop application requires Windows 11 or later, or macOS 12 (Monterey) or later. An internet connection is required for licence verification, synchronisation, and updates.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts to use the Service. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

4. Accounts

Registration. You must create an account to access most features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep it updated.

Credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@gridtree.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

One account per person. Individual accounts may not be shared between multiple people. Team plans provide separate seats for each user.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

Plans. The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Available plans and pricing are described at gridtree.app/pricing.

Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose). Payment is processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Access to paid features begins immediately upon successful payment. For first-time subscribers, access begins immediately upon signup; billing begins at the end of the free trial period.

Taxes. Prices displayed exclude applicable taxes (e.g. Swedish VAT). Tax will be added at checkout where required by law.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide partial-period refunds unless required by applicable law.

Refunds. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at contact@gridtree.app. We will assess your request in accordance with applicable consumer protection law, including the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (lag (2005:59) om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler).

Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the European Union or EEA, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date this agreement is entered into, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at contact@gridtree.app with a clear statement before the end of the 14-day period.

First-time subscribers (with free trial). Because the 14-day free trial runs concurrently with the withdrawal period and no charge is made during the trial, you can simply cancel before the trial ends without any payment obligation. No formal withdrawal process is required in this case.

Returning subscribers (no trial). If you subscribe again after a previous subscription, no free trial applies and your subscription is charged immediately. At checkout you will be asked to (a) explicitly request that your subscription starts immediately, and (b) explicitly acknowledge that your right of withdrawal lapses once the subscription period has been fully performed. Both confirmations are required for the right of withdrawal to lapse on completion (lag (2005:59) 2 kap. 11 § 1). If you withdraw before the period is fully performed, you will be required to pay a proportional amount for the subscription days already used, calculated on a daily basis (lag (2005:59) 2 kap. 15 § 3). If the required confirmations are not given at checkout, your 14-day right of withdrawal remains in full.

The desktop application is available free of charge and is not subject to a right of withdrawal.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. Continued use after the new price takes effect constitutes acceptance.

Free trials. New paid subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. No charge is made during the trial period. Your subscription will begin at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then. Please note that the 14-day right of withdrawal runs from the date you entered this agreement, concurrent with the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, no charge is made and no withdrawal formalities are required.

6. Licences

Web platform. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Flybring IT grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the web platform for your internal business or personal purposes.

Desktop application. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") available at gridtree.app/eula, Flybring IT grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the GridTree desktop application on devices you own or control.

These licences do not include any right to resell, sublicence, or distribute the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you are in breach of this section.

8. Intellectual Property

Our IP. The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and all other content, is owned by or licenced to Flybring IT AB and is protected by Swedish and international intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

Your content. You retain ownership of any code, configuration, or other content you create or upload through the Service ("User Content"). You grant Flybring IT a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and process your User Content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you. We will not use your User Content for any other purpose.

Feedback. If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Service, you grant us an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

9. Third-Party Services and User Commands

The Service integrates with or relies on third-party providers including Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payment processing), and Cloudflare (hosting and delivery). Your use of these providers is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

GridTree provides a terminal and workspace environment in which you may run commands, scripts, and third-party tools of your own choosing. You are solely responsible for any commands, programs, or tools you execute within the Service, and for any consequences thereof — including any actions taken against external systems, services, or data. Flybring IT has no control over, and accepts no liability for, the behaviour or output of any command, script, or third-party tool you run through GridTree.

This applies equally to AI assistants and AI coding agents you choose to run through GridTree (such as command-line AI tools). Flybring IT does not develop, operate, or control these AI models; their output and actions are determined by the respective AI provider and your own configuration. You are responsible for reviewing and approving the actions of any AI agent you run, and for configuring its permissions and scope appropriately.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded under applicable Swedish or EU consumer protection law.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

These limitations do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer protection law and do not affect your statutory rights.

12. Indemnification

If you are a business user, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Flybring IT AB and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Term and Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, and 16 survive termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be finally settled by the Swedish courts, with the District Court of Ångermanland (Ångermanlands tingsrätt) as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

If you are a consumer, you also have the right to submit a complaint to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) at www.arn.se.

16. General

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and EULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and Flybring IT regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights freely, including in connection with a merger or acquisition.

Language. These Terms are written in English. In case of any conflict with a translated version, the English version prevails.
